Ready to get started?

To ensure that your website project is completed as quickly and efficiently as possible, we have found it best to follow the timeline below:

Project Timeline

1. Consultation - Before we can effectively enter into your project, it is important to have an initial conversation to discuss the scope and determine its specific needs and requirements. During this time, we'd like to establish a designated contact person that we can communicate with over the course of your project.

2. Project Survey - The project survey will help us formulate a solution that will suit your specific needs and can drastically reduce the amount of time it takes to develop your website. This survey can be completed and submitted online, or it can be downloaded, printed, completed, and faxed to us.

3. Service Agreement - We'll put together a brief but thorough Service Agreement for your review. This is done mainly so that we both know what to expect over the course of our business relationship and to help minimize unpleasant "surprises". Please review the agreement thoroughly, initial each page, and sign where indicated. This can be returned to us by fax or mail along with a deposit equal to 50% of the Design Fee.

4. Content Assembly - Perhaps the most important part of your website often receives the least attention. The content of your site should be fresh, relevant, and original. Before we can proceed with the project, your content must be prepared. During this time, you should acquire appropriate photos, text, media clips, or other materials that you wish to include. Divine Design has a large collection of stock photography available for your use. We also offer a professional copywriting service that will deliver well-written, original copy that is custom crafted for your specific needs.

5. Launch Date - Once the content is organized, we can agree on a realistic launch date for your website. This is typically around 10 business days, but could be as many as 20 business days depending on scale of your project. We'll work diligently to meet your launch date.

6. Graphic Design - After we have gathered the key details about your project, we will get to work in the design studio. We'll create a template for your site's home page and content pages based upon our consultation and project survey.

7. Art Approval - We'll submit our artwork ideas to you for your review. This artwork will not be a functional website, but rather a mockup image of the colors, layout, and other elements that will eventually become a working site. Once you've examined our work, we'll make any changes or adjustments that you feel are necessary, and we'll request your final approval.

8. Site Development - With your approved artwork, we'll enter into the nuts and bolts of your website, preparing it for display on the internet. We'll set up your menu, optimize each page for the best search engine results, and install the content compiled during stage three.

9. Final Review - Once we've completed the installation, checked spelling, and tested each page for errors, we'll direct you to the website so that you can see it in action. If there are tweaks and alterations to be made to the content, we'll address them during this stage.

10. Site Launch - Finally! After we're both happy with our work, we'll put your website live and link it to your domain name. If you registered your domain through Divine Design, this step will happen very quickly. If you registered it with a different registrar, it could take a few days to complete. At this point the balance of your design fee is due. Upon receipt of payment, you'll be issued your unique administrator login information for your website controls. In other words, we'll give you the keys!
